Dolmen de la Combe de l'Ours

The Dolmen de la Combe-de-l'Ours are two dolmens in Montbrun in the Lot department in France . They are close to the municipal border with Gréalou and should not be confused with the Dolmen des Aguals , which is also known as the Dolmen Combe de l'Ours and is located a few meters across the border in Gréalou.

Dolmen 1

Dolmen 1 is on the edge of the valley ( location ). The round tumulus has a diameter of about 15.0 meters.

Dolmen 1 (dimensions)

  • Right orthostat: 2.40 × 0.18 × 0.95 m - broken in the middle
  • Left orthostat: 3.2 x 0.25 x 1.25 m
  • End plate: 1.4 × 0.1 × 0.65 m

Dolmen 2

Dolmen 2 is also on the edge of the valley ( location ). The round tumulus has a diameter of about 11.0 meters.

Dolmen 2 (dimensions)

  • The capstone, broken into several pieces, is 0.45 m thick
  • Right orthostat: 2.6 × 0.2 × 0.8 m
  • Left orthostat: 2.45 x 0.35 x 0.75 m
  • End plate: 1.5 × 0.15 × 1.0 m

Nearby are the Dolmen de Ganil and the Dolmen of Verdier .
