Dolmen de la Draille

The Dolmen de la Draille north of Viols-le-Fort in the Hérault department in France is a "dolmen à couloir" of the languedocien type. In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

Its peculiarity is an approximately 7 m long corridor that leads to a low chamber lined with large stones. The only surviving, imposing capstone is about 5.0 m long and 2.0 m wide and weighs almost 6.0 tons. Its name comes from a former cattle drive.

About 100 meters away is one of the oval dolmens of Cazarils (No. 2).
