The Dolmen de la Plone (also called Dolmen of Ayguières ) is located on the Cause de Sauveterre plateau , on the D44 road from Chanac to Champerboux in the Lozère department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The front part of the "dolmen simple" is missing. The north-west-south-east oriented dolmen (remainder) consists of three U-shaped supporting stones, which form an approximately 3.0 m long, 1.5 m wide and 0.8 m high chamber, above which a broken into three parts, there is a ceiling slab about 4.0 m long and 2.5 m wide protruding on three sides. An unusually large bowl ( French: Pierres aux écuelles or pierre à cupules ) is about 10 cm in size in the top plate . The dolmen lies in a remnant of a hill about 20.0 m in diameter.

About 15.0 m away is the 1.8 m high limestone menhir of Ayguières. Nearby are the Aire des trois Seigneurs and Laumède dolmen .
