Dolmen del Gigante

The Dolmen del Gigante (also "El Charcón", German  "Dolmen of the Giants" ) is located in the "Cerro de Algarin" (limestone hill), about one kilometer from El Gastor in the province of Cádiz in Andalusia in Spain .

The "Dolmen del Gigante" is a gallery grave that is about 6000 years old. The corridor is 7.0 meters long and 1.0 meters wide and widens to 1.55 meters in front of the chamber. It is about 0.5 meters high and rises to 1.0 meters towards the chamber. The chamber is 1.5 meters long. The dolmen is one of the larger in the province of Cadiz and is in good condition despite the robbery excavations. Only a few bearing stones on the right side are tilted more strongly and some cap stones are missing. The hill is preserved up to about the capstone height.

Polished axes , about 20 arrowheads and pottery shards were found.
