The Dolmen la Pierre Couverclée (also called La Couvre-Clair ) is located near Neuvy-en-Dunois in the Eure-et-Loir department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The compact sandstone capstone resting on two supporting stones is very large with a length of 3.55 m, a width of 2.25 m, a thickness of 0.70 m and a weight of about 15 tons and has three on its top Grooves and two bowls . They evidently attest to the reuse of a former polissoir as a capstone. According to the geological map, the block comes from Villars, about 2.0 km away.
