Dombyra party
Dombyra party ( Kazakh Домбыра пати , Домбыра Party ) is an on Flashmob based movement of the Kazakh youth with the aim of national musical instruments , especially Dombyra popularize again. The movement has no political background.
The parties are mostly organized in the streets, pedestrian areas or parks of numerous cities in Kazakhstan . At the weekly events, participants play the Kazakh musical instruments or sing songs accompanied by dombyra. One of the special features of the parties is to show that anyone without musical training can learn to play the cathedral and can participate in the movement.
Invitations are sent via social networks such as Facebook and Twitter . The video recordings are distributed on the video portals and social media . There is a Facebook group where users can discuss organizational issues.
history
The parties were initiated in 2012 by Kazakh bloggers and users of the “KerekInfo” platform. The first event took place in Astana on August 12th. Since then, the Dombyra parties have been held in almost every large Kazakh city, but also in global cities such as Berlin , Istanbul or London .
