Domicelė Mikalauskaitė
Domicelė Mikalauskaitė (born November 25, 1923 in Sobuva near Jieznas , Prienai district ) is a Lithuanian physiologist and biochemist.
Life
After graduating from high school, she completed a diploma course at the Vilniaus universitetas (VU) in 1947 and received her doctorate in biology in 1966 . From 1945 to 1993 she worked at VU. From 1967 to 1988 she was head of the chair at the medical faculty of the VU. From 1989 she was a professor . From 1954 to 1962 she headed a department at the Institute for Hygiene .
