Dominic Matteo (born April 4, 1974 in Dumfries , Scotland ) is a former Scottish football player .
Career
The left-footed Matteo began his career in the youth of Liverpool FC . After a few years in the Reds' first team, the left-back, who was now on loan to Sunderland, went to Leeds United in 2000 and then went to Blackburn Rovers . In January 2007 Matteo moved to Stoke City , where he ended his career after the 2008/09 season.
Matteo played six times for the Scottish national football team between 2000 and 2002 .
