Domino Records (1923)

Domino Records was an American record label that existed from 1923 to 1931.

As early as 1917 there was a first record label under the name Domino , on which 7-inch pressings appeared. The Domino Records label, which existed between 1923 and 1933, was a sub-company of the Plaza Music Company . Many of the Plaza productions in the field of dance music , country music and jazz also appeared on sister labels such as on banners and shelves . Many artists, such as Duke Ellington , were published under pseudonyms on Domino. The label released recordings by the California Ramblers , Cab Calloway , Vernon Dalhart , Arthur Fields , Bob Fuller , Ernest Hare , Fletcher Henderson , Rosa Henderson , Irving Kaufman , Sam Lanin , Vincent Lopez , Viola McCoy , Lizzie Miles , Julia Moody , Billy Murray , the Original Memphis Five , Jack Pettis , Ben Selvin , Boyd Senter and Jack Teagarden .
