The semi-detached house Katharinenstraße 14/16 is a listed building in the Outer Neustadt of Dresden , which was built in 1857. The building is characterized by a small-scale Biedermeier decoration, consisting of palmettes , tendrils and octagonal stars. This form of ornamentation cannot otherwise be proven in larger construction contracts or in preferred residential areas. Like the house at Katharinenstrasse 12, the semi-detached house was not influenced by Semper Renaissanceism , is three storeys high and six axes wide. The individual floors are separated from each other by cornices. What is remarkable about the facade of house no.16 is that the two arched windows on the first floor are combined by a pilaster arrangement.
