John O'Callaghan (* 29. April 1982 in Navan ) is an Irish Trance - DJ and music producer . He is also known under the pseudonyms Joint Operations Center and Henrik Zuberstein .

biography

John O'Callaghan began his career in 2003. After releasing several singles, he released his debut album Something To Live For in 2007 . His best-known single is Big Sky , a vocal trance piece that he produced with singer Audrey Gallagher in 2007 . The accompanying remix by Agnelli & Nelson was also voted Tune of the Year in Armin van Buuren's radio show A State of Trance in 2007.

Since 2007, O'Callaghan has had a weekly radio show called Subculture on Digitally Imported . In 2010 he founded a music label of the same name as a sub-label of Armada Music . His first production on his own label was Striker . Artists who have already released productions on the Subculture label include Bryan Kearney , Will Atkinson , The Noble Six and John Askew , as well as O'Callaghan himself, not least under his techno-focused pseudonyms Joint Operations Center and Henrik Zuberstein .

At the Irish Dance Music Awards 2008 he won the awards "Best Producer" and "Best DJ". In the same year he was the first Irishman to hang up at a Trance Energy in Holland. In 2009, O'Callaghan came in 24th in the selection of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs . 2009 saw the first collaboration with Aly & Fila with the track Megalithic . In 2012 another followed with Vapourize . Several B2B sets with Aly & Fila followed.

John O'Callaghan continues to appear regularly at festivals such as Luminosity.
