Cosmic Gate is a DJ project founded in 1997 by Stefan Bossems (born February 27, 1967 in Mönchengladbach ) alias DJ Bossi and Claus Terhoeven (born November 10, 1972 in Duisburg ) alias Nic Chagall.

Stefan Bossems has been a DJ since 1986 , he was resident DJ in the Glaspalast in Dinslaken .

Claus Terhoeven alias Nic Chagall

Claus Terhoeven has been a DJ since 1989, including resident DJ at the E-Dry disco in Geldern . He is also a founding member of the Essential DJ team .

Band history

The duo met each other by chance in 1997 in the office of a German music label. In the period that followed, it made a significant contribution to the history of music over the past decade and also created some hits that enjoyed worldwide success. Today Cosmic Gate are one of the most famous and successful DJ duos in the world. On "The DJ List", an Internet directory of the hottest DJs in the world, they were voted 23rd and for 3 years in a row they have had a permanent place in the DJ Mag Top 100, the who's who of the world's most successful DJs .

Productions like "The Drums", "Back To Earth", "Exploration of Space", "The Truth", "Raging" or "Fire Wire" come from Cosmic Gate.

With a total of seven top 40 chart singles and two successful chart albums - "Rhythm & Drums" and "No more Sleep" - the DJ duo was represented in the official Media Control sales charts in Germany. Meanwhile there are also a variety of Cosmic Gate remixes u. a. for Tiësto (Urban Train), Ferry Corsten (Punk), Blank & Jones (DFF), Svenson & Gielen (Answer the Question), Vanessa-Mae (White Bird) etc.

In the summer of 2005 Cosmic Gate released "Back 2 Back Vol. 2", the second part of their own mix compilation series, on the world's leading trance label Black Hole Recordings.
