Beam vs. Cyrus is a German trance project consisting of Michael Urgacz (DJ Beam) and Cyrus Sadeghi-Wafa (DJ Cyrus).

Career

Cyrus Sadeghi-Wafa was born in Tehran in 1975 and moved to Germany with his parents in 1980. In 1991 he produced the first demos on an Amiga 500 . In 1995 he released his first fully self-produced EP Cyrus - Upstart EP . A year later, Moonlight was released , a collaboration between Cyrus & The Joker with vocals by Nino de Angelo . In 1998 the project with Milky Way had a very successful club hit and drew the attention of A&R manager Beam , who had previously had chart successes with the trance project Beam & Yanou . Together they released the single Launch in Progress in 1999 , which reached number 63 in the German single charts.

In 2003 their biggest hit so far, U Can't Touch This , was released, which is based on the 1990 hit by MC Hammer and reached number 22 in the German charts. The duo Beam vs. Cyrus has also produced some remixes from Cosmic Gate , Airscape and Lange , among others .
