Jes Brieden (born May 10, 1974 in New York City ; also known as JES ) is an American singer-songwriter , producer and a frequent guest singer.

biography

Jes Brieden grew up in New York and studied art and singing at an art college. In 2001, while working in a recording studio in Los Angeles, she met Mike Olson and founded the Guardians of the Earth project with him . Together they produced the songs Star Children and One Moon Circling . Star Children was also released on Paul van Dyk's compilation The Politics of Dancing .

Her most famous works come from the collaboration with Gabriel & Dresden . Together they formed the Motorcycle group . In 2003, her hit As the Rush Comes came to number 1 on the Billboard Dance Radio Airplay chart. This hit led to numerous international appearances. For example, she appeared at the World Electronic Music Festival in Toronto and on the British music program Top of the Pops alongside Beyoncé and Maroon 5 .

Since she met Tiësto , she signed with his record company Black Hole Recordings and released her first solo album Disconnect in 2007 . Together with the Dutch DJ she produced the song Everything , which was released on Tiësto's album Elements of Life . On the worldwide concert tour Elements of Life she appeared as the opening artist. Jes has also worked with other DJs such as D: Fuse , Deepsky and Solar Stone . In January 2008 she released her second solo album Into The Dawn with the extremely successful single Imagination , which in turn made it to number 1 on the Hot Dance Airplay Charts. In March 2010 she released her new album High Glow .
