tyDi (* 31 May 1987 ; real name Tyson Illingworth ) is an Australian Trance - DJ and -producer from Brisbane .

biography

At the age of 16, tyDi won his first DJ competition, the Brisbane DJ Wars . A year later he moved to Brisbane, where he became resident DJ at club The Family . Eventually he studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and received a Bachelor of Music Technology.

In 2006, tyDi took part in the Sony inthemix Top 50 DJ Poll for the first time and came in 12th. In the following year, it ranked fourth and in 2008 it achieved the top place for the first time. He was able to defend first place in 2009 and in 2010 he came second.

His debut single "Familiar Streets" was released in 2006 on the Mixology Digital Records label . Most recently he published his productions on AVA Recordings , the label of the British DJ and producer Andy Moor .

At the end of 2008 tyDi was invited by the event organizer ID&T to end the Sensation New Year's Eve party in Melbourne . After this performance in front of 42,000 people, he was invited to the trance energy festivals in Australia and Holland, where he shared the main stage with DJs like Armin van Buuren , Paul van Dyk and John O'Callaghan .

In 2009 his debut album Look Closer was released . At the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) 2010 tyDi won the award for Best Break-Through DJ .
