Double pendulum flaps are a device that is suitable for the discharge and entry of fine-grained and coarse granules of bulk goods that are pre-dosed, such as. B. filters, cyclones and conveyors.

With a double pendulum flap, the two flap plates open and close alternately; so when the top flap is open, the bottom flap is closed and vice versa. This arrangement, in which both flaps can never be open, enables very good sealing of differential pressures.

Function and structure

The form of drive via a cam is overload-proof, so that in the event of a malfunction (large lumps that are jammed), the double pendulum flap does not self-destruct. The system works in both the closing and opening processes. Two large maintenance openings facilitate service and enable the valve disc to be changed while it is installed.

The drive is weight-actuated, pneumatic or motorized via a rocker arm mechanism.
