Engleshof village chapel
The Roman Catholic village chapel Engleshof is located in the center of the Engleshof part of the Upper Palatinate community of Pirk .
The chapel was built in 1974 on the site of an earlier church and at the village cross. The occasion was the primacy of the Engelsdorf priest Andreas Unschold. Devotions and occasional services are held in the chapel .
The chapel is 8.2 m long, 5.8 m wide and 7.8 m high. It has a roof turret with an onion dome two meters high .
In the interior there are four rows of chairs and a marble altar table. To the right of the entrance is a 60 cm high figure of Christ . Two carved figures of saints hang on both sides of the altar. Behind the altar is a 2 m high cross with a figure of Christ.
On the far left at the entrance hangs a listed crucifix with a Madonna , the figures are made of wood and are painted in color, they probably date from the 18th or 19th century.
