The church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Gospenroda is located in the Gospenroda district of the city of Werra-Suhl-Tal in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish area Fernbreitenbach-Gospenroda based in Fernbreitenbach , in the parish of Eisenach-Gerstungen the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The east-facing church is located on Friedensstrasse and was built in 1784 in half-timbered style. Bible verses decorate the parapet in the gallery . The chancel is decorated with modern wall paintings. In the 1980s, the small church was supposed to be demolished because it was dilapidated. The villagers saved their church.
