The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Hümpfershausen is in the Hümpfershausen district of the town of Wasungen in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia .

history

The picturesque village church , built around 1603 at the foot of the Hahnberg, is a simple stone building with simple furnishings. In 1735 the triumphal arch was appropriately redesigned and galleries were built into the nave in 1837 .

In 1956 the galleries and benches were painted with meadow flowers using the so-called negative technique , which made the room friendly.

The organ with 19 stops from 1918 is a listed building. It was restored in 2004.
