The village church Lohma an der Leina is located in the district Lohma an der Leina in the municipality of Langenleuba-Niederhain in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

history

Documented pastors were named in the village as early as 1295 and again in 1375 . It can be assumed that there was already a house of worship at this time. The origin of the places of worship is said to have been in the 13th or 14th century. The bell had a cast date of 1649.

A weather vane and the tower button were reported as early as 1585. In 1768 the church was named with a high spire and a slate roof as well as a tower button. One speaks of a church with three parts. It is high to the east, followed by the altar , baptismal font , the organ and two galleries . The middle building is said to be the oldest.

The button from the top tower was also removed and put back on in 1768. The enclosed documents and documents were spoiled by the weather. Today the house has three bells.

In 1610 lightning struck. A fire broke out and some time later the church was reopened to the public.

In 1748 the paintable things in the church building were painted throughout. It was very expensive.

In 1835 the altar was covered with a marble slab of Wildenfeld marble and decorated. In Berlin , the iron crucifix with gold-plated figures was poured from donations from some sponsors .
