The Protestant village church Mohlis is in the Mohlis district of the town of Schmölln in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

history

The village church of Mohlis was built in 1680 on the land of a predecessor. In 1996 it had to be closed because of dilapidation . Residents and believers prevented the demolition and began with the renovation. Then there was help from the KiBa Foundation in 2003 and 2004 with funding. The roof , the crown of the wall and the roof structure were secured, which saved the church . Further construction work is pending.
