The church

The Protestant village church Oberilm is in the Oberilm district of the city of Stadtilm in the Ilm district in Thuringia .

This church replaced a previous Romanesque building in the 16th century and was then redesigned several times. It is a hall church with a slated roof turret on the west side.

There are four-sided galleries in the hall . Above the altar is the pulpit from 1819.

On November 6th, 2011, the representatives of the St. Marien Stadtkirche Stadtilm were handed over 15,000 euros to support the further repair of the historic church paintings.
