Dorking is a breed of domestic chicken that can be traced back to Roman times . The old culture breed, bred for a long time mainly in Great Britain , has become rare today.

Dorkings have a body shape that corresponds to an elongated rectangle. Similar to the German salmon chicken, dorkings also have five toes instead of four. The breed has its focus on fattening ability. Unlike most domestic chicken breeds, it is therefore not one of the dual purpose breeds .
