Dorothy Boyd

Dorothy Boyd (born April 14, 1907 in Sanderstead , according to other information May 8, 1907 in Croydon Surrey , † 1996 ) was a British film actress.

Life

She made her film debut in 1926 in The Veteran , and in that year she starred in two other films by director Hugh Croise . In the remainder of the 1920s she also had leading roles in silent films, including George Pearson's Love’s Option (1928). In addition to the Stars Ivor Novello and Mabel Poulton she entered Adrian Brunel The Constant Nymph and Easy Virtue of Alfred Hitchcock on (both 1928).

Her career peaked in the 1930s, she played mostly leading roles, alongside stars like Laurence Olivier and Henry Edwards . Her films include productions by George Pearson, Maclean Rogers , Lupino Lane , George King .

In 1940 she had her last role in Maclean Rogers' Shadowed Eyes .
