The Dorsum Oppel is a dorsum on the moon that runs along the northwestern edge of the Mare Crisium , starting at Cleomedes F up to Yerkes . Dorsum Termier then begins south of Yerkes .
Its length is about 300 kilometers; its mean selenographic coordinates are 19 ° N / 52 ° E.
In 1976 it was named by the International Astronomical Union after the German paleontologist Albert Oppel .
