Douglas Robb

Douglas Sean Robb (born January 2, 1975 in Agoura Hills , California ) is an American singer and frontman of the American rock band Hoobastank .

The son of a Scotsman and a Japanese woman started playing the guitar at the age of 15. He met his future bandmate Daniel Estrin during a high school music event, where they both played.

In an interview with “Yahoo! Music "Robb described the style of his band as follows:

“It's rather positive. Not all is positive, but ... luckily neither of us was hit by our parents, and we don't have too much reason to scold. That's why I don't complain a lot in our songs. It's more about the everyday, life, ... you know, questions that you and I ask ourselves every day. I think my lucky was to have had a strong family and a good neighborhood, a family oriented neighborhood so I don't have to sing about how tough it was ... I don't think we're doing anything new. But I guess it's not fashionable either. It's just rock music with good music and good lyrics; Texts that people can identify with, that they can hold on to. Robb is co-author of all the songs. His role models include Faith No More , Van Halen and The Red Hot Chili Peppers .
