The Dovers Crater is an approximately 100 m high volcanic crater on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It rises on the Azorella Peninsula in the north of the island.
The Australian geologist Robert G. Dovers († 1981), namesake of the crater, set up a benchmark for trigonometric surveys on its southern rim in 1948 during a campaign by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions .
