Dr. Goebbels. According to notes from his surroundings, there is a biographical work on Joseph Goebbels , Reich Propaganda Minister under Adolf Hitler , published in 1949 . The anthology by Boris von Borresholm was published by the Journal publishing house with the permission of the French military government .

Dr. Goebbels was divided into four parts by the editor. In the first part, entitled Outlines , the roots of Goebbels' propaganda and worldview are presented. Von Borresholm set great store by tracing Goebbels' rhetorical beginnings. Another focus is on Goebbels' important influence on Nazi propaganda and the public image of Adolf Hitler. The records show that Goebbels played a significant role in Hitler's change from “drummer” to “ Führer ” and in Hitler's candidacy for president in 1932. Furthermore, the propaganda of the Bolsheviks is named as Goebbels' example.

The second part, Episodes , traces Goebbels career. The work turns to the private citizen Goebbels as well as the political agitator Goebbels. Goebbels' marriage to Magda Quandt is treated as well as his problems with the SA at the beginning of his Gauleitung via Berlin.
