Takasindu ( Nepali टाक्सिन्धु ) is a village and a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu district of the Sagarmatha administrative zone in eastern Nepal .

Takasindu is located in the High Himalayas , 50 km southwest of Mount Everest . The VDC is bounded in the east by the river valleys of the Lumding Drangka and the Dudhkoshi . In the northwest, the Karyolung , Khatang and Numbur mountain range forms the border. In the west, the area boundary runs along the Dudhkund Glacier and the upper reaches of the Solu Khola .

Residents

The VDC Takasindu had 2177 inhabitants (of which 1065 male) in 510 households at the 2011 census.
