Mabe ( Nepali माबे or Pawai ) is a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu district of the Sagarmatha administrative zone in eastern Nepal .

Mabe is located in the High Himalayas , 48 km south of Mount Everest . The VDC extends east of the Hinku Drangka and extends in the southwest to the Dudhkoshi and the lower reaches of the Hunku Drangka . VDC Baku is on the opposite western side of the valley . The main town is Pawai .

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDC Mabe had 2,617 inhabitants (1,294 male) in 550 households.

  • Najing ( 2720  m )
  • Pawai ( 1550  m )
