Baku ( Nepali बाकु or Waku ) is a village and Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu district of the Sagarmatha administrative zone in eastern Nepal .

Baku is located in the High Himalayas , 59 km south of Mount Everest . The VDC is bounded by the river valleys of the Dudhkoshi in the west and the Hinku Drangka in the east.

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDC Baku had 4844 inhabitants (2380 male) in 963 households.
