Sotang ( Nepali सोताङ ) is a village and was a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Solukhumbu District of the No. 1 Province in Eastern Nepal .

Sotang is located in the High Himalayas , 58 km south of Mount Everest . The village is south of the Hunku Drangka . Gudel is east of Sotang.

Residents

The VDC Sotang had 5834 inhabitants (2877 of them male) in 1288 households at the 2011 census.
