Dragan Espenschied (2000)

Dragan Espenschied (* 1975 in Munich ) is a German chiptune musician and media artist .

Life

He studied communication design at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart and developed software for Atari computers from 1991 . In 1995 he and Bernhard Kirsch founded the chiptune band Bodenständig 2000 , which received a recording contract with the London electronica label Rephlex Records and performed in Europe and the USA. Together with Alvar Freude , Espenschied developed, among other things, the interactive literature project Association Blaster , in which users can write contributions that are linked to existing texts by non-linear real-time links. In 2003 the collaboration with the net art pioneer Olia Lialina began .

After completing his studies at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart, Espenschied taught programming and interactivity in the field of interface design.
