Olia Lialina
Olia Lialina (born May 4, 1971 in Moscow ) is a Russian net artist and media scientist.
In 1993 she finished her studies at Moscow State University as a qualified journalist .
In her work My Boyfriend Came Back From The War from 1996, she developed a special narrative technique using the language of the elements of a (then) web browser and is therefore one of the founders of the net.art genre .
From 1996 to 1998 she was director of the Cine Fantom Film Club . Since 1999 she has been teaching as a professor in the field of new media at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart.
