The Dragon Cove (English for Dragon Bay ) is a bay on the northeast tip of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located between Sigritsa Point in the northeast and Ficheto Point in the southwest. Its shore consists of Dragon Beach .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Dragon , a 1804 in Liverpool registered brig for the seal hunt , which (unknown-1780) operated from 1820 to 1821 under captain Andrew McFarlane in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
