Dramatic poem
Dramatic poem describes the collective term for all types of dramatic poetry in bound language (for example blank verse ). Neither Gero von Wilpert's specialist dictionary of literature nor the basic lexicon of literary terminology have provided a separate entry for the term. If an author chooses the term dramatic poem for his work, he can pursue different purposes with it. It may be, for example, that the plot of the drama cannot simply be assigned to one of the usual genres ( comedy , tragedy , civil tragedy, etc.) or that the author himself wants to make it clear that his text is not intended for performance.
