The threepenny booklet. Informations zu Bertolt Brecht is a culture and literary magazine for current research on the German writer Bertolt Brecht (1898–1956). The name refers to Brecht's play The Threepenny Opera .

history

It has been published since 1994 and serves the continuous exchange of information, opinions and research results about Brecht. Kurt Idrizovic , who runs a bookstore in Augsburg, is the founder of the magazine . He published the magazine until the end of 2009. Since the beginning of 2010 the new publisher is the Wißner-Verlag Augsburg, editor-in-chief is Michael Friedrichs .

Content

In addition to academic articles, there are reports of theater performances and reviews of current publications related to Brecht. A bibliography of selected new entries from the Bertolt Brecht Archive is also regularly included . Other Brecht institutions such as the Brecht Laboratory in Karlsruhe or the Bertolt Brecht Research Center are also dealt with. The magazine appears quarterly at the beginning of each quarter. The unit price in Germany is three euros.
