The Dreilandenkoog is a Koog on the Eiderstedt peninsula in the Schleswig-Holstein district of North Friesland .

geography

The Dreilandenkoog is located in the southern part of Eiderstedt. Today's boundaries are Landstrasse 305 (Eiderdammstrasse) in the south, Kreisstrasse 5 (Borsthusen) in the northeast, and the streets Süderdeich and Harmonie in the northwest. Dreilandenkoog, Krimm and Harmonie are located in the Koog area. The Dreilandenkoog is bordered by the Grothusen and Wilhelminenkoog in the south, the Bürkoog in the west, the Mittel- und Wattkoog in the north and the Kornkoog in the east.

history

The Dreilandenkoog was diked in 1613 under the direction of the Dutch dikemaster Johann Clausen Rollwagen . This Koog gets its name Dreilanden from the fact that the new Koog was located between the so-called Dreilanden , the three insular Harden Utholm , Everschop and Eiderstedt, which were combined to form a peninsula and since then have been known as Eiderstedt.
