Dreiling (unit)

The Dreiling was an Austrian measure of volume for liquids, especially for wine .

The measure has been known since the princely ordinance of 1412. This determined the size of the measure and so was determined

• 1 Dreiling = 1 barrel = 24 buckets = 1358.16 liters

The measure differed from the load of wine with 32 buckets in that there were fewer per unit.

In the patent of July 14, 1756, the size of the bucket was determined and that was the case

• 1 bucket = 40 measure = 1.792 cubic feet = 56.605239 liters
