history

In addition to selling conventional pharmaceuticals, he soon began developing fragrance and hair lotions as well as soap products. In 1921 Storp founded together with Dr. O. Martin set up a small laboratory that specialized in synthetic fragrances and artificial vegetable oils. The company name Drom emerged from Martin's initials. After a year, Storp took over sole management. In 1935 Storp opened a perfumery in Munich, where he sold perfumes he had developed himself. In 1970 the company moved into its current headquarters in Baierbrunn. In September 2019, the Swiss fragrance company Givaudan completed its acquisition of Drom.
