Drop (English to drop "to fall (to let)") stands for:

  • The transfer of an object to another on the graphical user interface, see Drag and Drop
  • The discarding of a packet without feedback in IT security, see firewall rules
  • In electrical short for the voltage drop (English voltage drop )
  • Landing while skydiving
  • A discipline of mountain bike downhill skiing, see downhill
  • The part in a piece of music in which the music first climbs to the climax, then there is a short pause (e.g. the bassline stops running ) before the music suddenly returns in full.
  • An ornament in music.
  • A type of shot in badminton
  • The prize in the form of a virtual object, which is granted in some computer games after “killing” an opponent; see Loot (computer game)
