Die casting device

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As the ladle is also the molding apparatus in the metallurgy a container for pouring of liquid metal into a mold or in most cases in a molding plant . There are both unheated versions of pouring devices and those that keep the melt warm by means of an inductor installed at an angle or under the furnace .

construction

The die-casting device consists of a pressure-tight tank with two connecting pipes that act as siphons . The funnel-shaped sprue is used to refill fresh melt; The molds are filled with a stopper via the pouring head.

function

By applying pressure to the bath level in the boiler, the melt in the pouring and pouring pipes is pushed upwards until a defined bath level is reached in the pouring head. Changes in height due to material supply or removal are compensated for by a pressure control. The constant bath level achieved in this way enables parts of higher quality to be cast because they are of constant quality.
