The jungle maina ( Acridotheres fuscus ) is a songbird from the starling family . It breeds in tropical Asia from India to Indonesia .

It becomes 23 cm long and has gray plumage. They can be found near bodies of water or in rice fields. It is omnivorous and feeds on fruits, grains and insects.

She is often kept as a cage bird.
