The Duhail Sports Hall ( Arabic صالة الدحيل الرياضية, DMG salad ad Duḥail ar-riyāḍiyya ) is designed exclusively for handball arena with 5,580 seats in the district Duhail in Doha .
Emergence
The arena was built in just 13 months on a 40,000 m² area and was as good as finished in July 2014. It is considered a green building and is state-of-the-art . It was opened on September 7, 2014 with the opening ceremony of the IHF Super Globe 2014 .
use
The complex was primarily built as the venue for the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar and will be handed over to the Qatar Handball Association after this sporting event . It is to serve as a venue and training location for the Qatar national handball teams, as well as a branch with administration and media rooms in the complex for the Qatari handball association.
In addition to the arena, the complex includes two training halls with 500 seats each, 60 bedrooms for the players, a 25-meter swimming pool and a medical center.
