In linguistics, the style is a certain characteristic of writing or speaking .

In handwriting it refers to the guidance of the writing hand and describes the writing style , the characteristic of a personal handwriting.

With language , Duktus refers to the expression of what is spoken or written and describes the style of language , the characteristics of a personal language, the way of speaking, speaking, writing.

When speaking or speaking , Duktus is understood to mean both stylistic elements, such as choice of words and sentence structure, as well as any dialect influences or their absence. The pronunciation , intonation and other language characteristics ( prosody ) of a lecture are also part of the style.

It is possible to recognize people by their style: For example, Theodore Kaczynski (Unabomber) was identified because his writing style was recognized by a family member.
