Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium , DMEM for short , is a standardized nutrient medium for cell culture with a wide range of uses for human and various animal cells. It's a variant of Eagle's Minimum Essential Medium (EMEM) , but it contains more nutrients than this. It was named after Renato Dulbecco and Harry Eagle .
