Dun Na H'airde - far right

Dun Na H'airde is a promontory fort on a striking 45 m high cliff, 600 m from Greshornish Point overlooking the island of Eilean Mòr in Loch Greshornish on the southeast side of the Greshornish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye in the Council Area Highland in Scotland .

The dun shows evidence of two construction phases. In the earlier phase, a single 2.7 m thick wall separates the fort on the west side, which is connected to the land by a narrow neck, and covers an inclined area about 45 × 23 m (0.1 ha). The entrance to the west was 1.7 m wide.

In the second phase, the access was reduced to a width of 1.0 m by inserting a wall block with an inner entry stone and the floor covering that currently forms the floor. To the north of the entrance, the wall thickness was increased to 3.3 m.

The interior was divided into an upper courtyard in the north and one in the south by a 2.3 m thick wall, which, seen immediately south of the entrance, met the inside of the outer wall. A passage through the dividing wall connects the two courtyards, the upper one measuring around 26 × 23 m and containing a stone-lined fountain. The only other feature visible inside is a low stone bench in the Oberhof.
