The Dundee Rockets were an ice hockey club in the city of Dundee , Scotland . The Rockets played in the British Hockey League from 1982 to 1987 .

The Dundee Rockets were founded in 1963. The Rockets first played in the Northern League , whose championship they won in 1973 and 1982 respectively. From 1982 to its dissolution in 1987, the team played in the Premier Division of the British Hockey League , the then highest British ice hockey league , whose championship they won in the 1983/84 season. In 1983 they also won the Autumn Cup .
It was not until 2001 that the Dundee Stars , a professional ice hockey club in town, started playing again.
