Menhir da Bulhoa
The Menhir da Bulhoa is located at Reguengos de Monsaraz in the Évora district in the Alentejo in Portugal about a kilometer behind Telheiro, west of the road that leads from Telheiro to Aldeia do Outeiro.
The menhir was discovered in 1966, restored and erected again in 1970. Only the upper part is original. This has decorations on both sides that can be seen well, less well or not at all, depending on the light level. It is a sun motif, wavy and zigzag lines and a báculo . The ornate menhir is one of the oldest recognized structures in the region.
The oldest menhirs were found in Portugal between 5000 and 4000 BC. Set up. The age of this menhir is unclear.
Nearby are the cromlech of Xerez and the menhir do Outeiro .
