Dark pear

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The dark pear is a scientific joke that already appeared in Carl Barks and Erika Fuchs as an invention of Daniel Düsentrieb . It spreads darkness instead of light and can thus be used, for example, to create a darkroom or for an afternoon nap .

As early as 1910 Christian Morgenstern wrote a poem about the day-night lamp created by its invented inventor Korf ,

which, as soon as it is turned on, turns
even the brightest day
into night.
